Handcrafted Paper Fan 2026 Summer

A contemporary expression of Korean tradition, our Handmade Hanji Root Fan is created exclusively for VASA New York by the Namwon Choi Soobong Fan Craft Research Institute in South Korea.
Each fan is individually handcrafted by skilled artisans using traditional Korean hanji paper and the natural roots of Hadong bamboo for the handle and ribs. The hanji features original VASA New York floral patterns, designed especially for this collection.
Available in two colorways:
-Pink with Gold Campanula
-Turquoise Blue with Gold Lily of the Valley
Because each bamboo root develops naturally, variations in grain, color, length, and shape are part of its individual character. No two handles are exactly alike.
