Where Modern Meets Heirloom
Founded in 2010, Vasa New York is a New York-based fine jewelry brand born from a small West Village boutique. Vasa captures the essence of New York City, blending modern style with the designer's unique aesthetic.
Modern Heirlooms Crafted with Heart
Vasa's pieces are more than just jewelry; they're modern heirlooms, meticulously handcrafted to imbue warmth and character into every metal and gemstone. Inspired by the beauty of antique and vintage jewelry, each design is a unique creation that blends expert craftsmanship with wearable, contemporary style. Vasa jewelry isn't meant to overpower your individuality; it's designed to accentuate your own beauty and bring life to any outfit.
About the designer
Jeenie Lim, the creative force behind Vasa New York, draws inspiration from a rich tapestry of experiences. Raised by a florist mother and inspired by a grandfather who was a pioneering abstract painter, Jeenie grew up immersed in both nature and creative expression. Her early exposure to petals and pigment shaped a lifelong appreciation for subtle beauty and thoughtful design.
Studying fine art with a focus on organic forms further deepened her connection to aesthetics that feel personal and poetic. From watching flowers being arranged to admiring expressive brushstrokes, her love for intimate details gradually blossomed into a passion for jewelry—pieces meant to be worn close to the body, and even closer to the heart.
Jeenie refined her craft at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City. After graduating, she spent five years designing for the iconic jewelry house Miriam Haskell. She went on to earn a Master’s degree in Design Management from Pratt Institute, further developing her vision at the intersection of creativity and strategy.
In August 2010, she launched VASA New York, a fine jewelry line rooted in nature, memory, and modern craftsmanship. Her quietly distinctive style—blending organic elegance with meticulous detail—has been featured in Cosmopolitan, Lucky, and the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue.
Each VASA creation is timeless, personal, and made to be cherished.
