VASA began in a small boutique in New York’s West Village in 2010, bringing together Jeannie Lim's love of art, antique jewelry, and the personal stories behind the things we keep.

That sensibility shapes the collection today: romantic details, distinctive gemstones, and proportions that feel natural to wear. A piece might catch your eye for its color or an unexpected detail, then become something you reach for every morning.

Meet Jeannie

Raised by a florist mother and inspired by her grandfather, an abstract painter, Jeannie grew up with an appreciation for color, shape, and the beauty of things made by hand.

She studied fine art before continuing her training at New York’s Fashion Institute of Technology. Five years designing at Miriam Haskell deepened her love of intricate detail and expressive jewelry. She later earned a master’s degree in Design Management from Pratt Institute and founded VASA New York in August 2010.

Her approach remains personal: to create jewelry with a character of its own and room for yours. A familiar motif seen a little differently. A color you can’t stop looking at. A small detail that makes a piece feel like it was always meant for you.
